Coolangatta Gold 2011

on Sep 28 in Blog by

A couple of days have gone by now since the Coolangatta Gold and apart from some minor aches and pains I have recovered well from the race.

I would firstly like to thank everyone for the support for me not only during the race, but in my preparation.  As many of you are aware in this year preparation I had glandular fever, and there was a point where I thought I wouldn’t be able to race, but with the help of my my mum’s uncle Mick, coaches and the support from my surf club Kurrawa I lined up again and took my fifth title.

I also have to take this opportunity to thank my great sponsor Qscan who have been supporting me in my Coolangatta Gold pursuits since 2008, Kellogg’s Nutri Grain and my equipment sponsors Newton Running, Kracka and Stealth.

I am now heading off to Singapore and Hong Kong for a much needed holiday when I return will be preparing for the upcoming Kellogg’s Nutri Grain Series with the first round to be held at Surfers Paradise beach on the 18th December.

Thanks again for the overwhelming support,

Until next time,

Caine.
